A Bundle of Silences is an experimental documentary about the 1983 Águila Blanca heist, in which the Puerto Rican revolutionary group Los Macheteros expropriated $7 million from a Wells Fargo depot. Centred on Víctor Gerena – the employee who carried out the robbery and subsequently disappeared – and his mother, Gloria, a leader in the Puerto Rican community of Hartford, Connecticut, the film weaves testimonies, archival material, and film processed with tobacco and coffee to meditate on memory and silence.
