Can speculative artistic practice function as a concrete tool for intervening in specific social and institutional contexts rather than imagining distant utopias? Amid political fatigue and a shrinking horizon of possibility, a crisis of imagination and the urgency to act, we will explore how fiction, prefiguration, slight shifts in reality, and speculative art can operate as methods for inspiring change.

Using selected examples from Alicja Rogalska’s collaborative, context-responsive projects as a starting point, we will work individually and collectively to develop ideas for small-scale interventions: scripts, performative actions, speculative artefacts, spatial rearrangements, or institutional tweaks that subtly reroute established structures from the inside. 

Through discussion and guided exercises, we will focus on how art can operate as a method for testing alternatives within and against existing constraints and rehearse different modes of solidarity and collective agency.
